Food and Beverage Sales and Service

This program is ideal for individuals who want to gain valuable skills for use in the Food and Beverage Service industry. Students will gain confidence in running food and beverage outlets, handling payments, menu design, wine service, table setting, bar and beverage service as well as different service styles.

Housekeeping Operations

This program provides a detailed overview of housekeeping operations including hiring and retaining staff, how to plan and organize for the day to day operations of the department. It will also bring out why the housekeeping department is a critical department which ensures the smooth flow of activities in rooms division.

Reception/ Front Office Operations

The aim of this program is to bring efficiency in the front office department. It trains students in managing the various stages of the guest cycle, revenue management, front office systems, forecasting, among other things. Students will also be taken through managing the reservations process in an establishment.

Barista Skills

A Barista is a professional who makes and serves beverages such as coffee, tea and specialty beverages. They take customer orders and payments. They also maintain their working area ensuring it is clean.

Industrial Attachment

Students will be attached at a commercial establishment for three months. Practical training will be done at our practical partners including hotels, restaurants and catering venues. Students will e compiling a Portfolio of Evidence during this attachment.

Upon completion:

  1. Diploma in Food and Beverage Service
  2. Diploma in Housekeeping Operations
  3. Diploma in Reception Operations
